Art21 x SFMOMA Virtual Teacher Institute: What Is Contemporary Art? Sports Edition

How do contemporary artists use sports to interrogate power and performance? This webinar will explore the ways in which artists play with and subvert power dynamics in athletic performance to examine the role of gender and race in sports. During this workshop, we will consider how sports influence contemporary artists like Paul Pfeiffer, Collier Schorr, and Shaun Leonardo.
